HairCity Rental Care Rules

This wig remains HairCity property and must be returned by the agreed date in acceptable condition.

During your rental:

• Do not cut, pluck, bleach or permanently alter the lace closure.
• Do not cut the hair or modify the cap, drawstring, straps, combs or elastic.
• Do not bleach, dye, tint, relax or chemically process the wig.
• Do not straighten or permanently alter the Deep Wave texture.
• Avoid excessive heat unless HairCity has approved heat styling.
• Do not apply unapproved glue or adhesive to the closure or hair.
• Do not pull, overstretch, cut or knot the drawstring.
• Keep the unit away from smoke, strong odours, seawater and swimming pools.
• Use only lightweight products suitable for human hair.
• Avoid heavy oils, waxes and excessive styling products.
• Store the wig safely whenever it is not being worn.
• Return all supplied packaging and accessories with the unit.

Maintaining the Deep Wave Pattern

When the waves require refreshing, lightly mist the hair with water or a HairCity-approved conditioning spray. Divide the hair into sections and gently detangle from the ends upwards using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.

Reshape the waves while the hair is damp and allow the wig to air-dry whenever possible. Avoid brushing the hair when dry. Do not wash the rental unit unless HairCity has specifically authorised you to do so.

Using the Drawstring Safely

Place the wig comfortably over the head and align the closure with the desired hairline position. Adjust the drawstring gradually until the cap feels secure without pinching, pulling or creating pressure.

Secure or conceal the remaining cord according to the unit’s design. Do not tie permanent knots, cut the cord or leave it exposed where it may catch on clothing or accessories.

Release excessive tension before removing or storing the wig. If the drawstring or any other cap component appears damaged, stop adjusting it and contact HairCity.

Security Deposit and Return Inspection

A refundable security deposit may be required before the wig is released. HairCity will inspect the unit after it is returned.

Deductions may be made if the wig is returned late, excessively tangled, stained, cut, chemically treated, permanently restyled, damaged or without supplied accessories. Damage to the lace closure, cap or drawstring may be chargeable. Costs exceeding the deposit may attract additional charges under HairCity’s rental terms.

Fitting, Installation and Styling

The listed rental price covers the wig unless the selected package states otherwise. Fitting, lace customisation, installation and event styling are not automatically included.

Professional fitting is recommended to ensure the drawstring is adjusted correctly, the cap sits comfortably and the lace blends naturally. Any required installation or styling services should be booked before the collection date.

Understanding the 20″ Length

Deep Wave wigs are measured from the crown to the ends while the hair is gently stretched. Because the textured hair contracts into its natural wave pattern, the unit will appear shorter than 20″ when worn without stretching.

The final resting position varies according to the wearer’s height, head shape, body proportions and how the unit has been prepared or styled.

Important Rental Notice

This is a professionally maintained rental unit and may have been worn previously. HairCity cleans, prepares and inspects every rental wig between bookings, although minor signs of normal wear may be present.
