At HairCity, we want paying for your wig or rental to be as straightforward as choosing it.

We offer convenient payment options for customers in Zimbabwe and abroad, including card payments, local mobile money payments and direct bank transfers.

Pay Online with Paynow

HairCity uses Paynow to securely process online payments.

Through Paynow, customers can pay using supported:

  • Local debit and credit cards
  • International debit and credit cards
  • Local mobile money services
  • Other payment methods made available by Paynow at checkout

The exact payment options available to you will be displayed when you proceed to payment.

How It Works

When you select Paynow during checkout:

  1. Complete your HairCity order details.
  2. Select the available Paynow payment option.
  3. Follow the secure payment instructions provided.
  4. Complete your payment using your preferred supported payment method.
  5. Once payment is successfully confirmed, HairCity can begin processing your order.

Always wait for confirmation that your payment has been completed successfully before closing the payment process.

Debit & Credit Card Payments

HairCity customers can pay online using supported debit and credit cards processed securely through Paynow.

This provides a convenient option for both local and international customers using supported cards.

Card availability and successful authorization may depend on the card issuer, payment provider, currency, security checks and other banking requirements.

HairCity does not normally receive or store your complete card details when your payment is processed through the payment provider.

International Card Payments

Shopping with HairCity from outside Zimbabwe?

Supported international debit and credit cards may be used through our Paynow payment facility.

Your card issuer or bank may apply:

  • Currency conversion rates
  • International transaction charges
  • Foreign exchange fees
  • Security verification
  • Other applicable banking charges

These charges, where applicable, are determined by your bank or card provider and are separate from the amount charged by HairCity.

If an international card payment is unsuccessful, please contact your card issuer or HairCity Support for assistance.

Mobile Money Payments

Customers can also pay using supported local mobile money payment options made available through Paynow.

Simply choose the relevant payment option during checkout and follow the instructions provided to authorize your transaction.

The available mobile money services will be shown during the payment process.

Please ensure that you complete all required authorization steps before leaving the payment page.

Direct Bank Transfer

Prefer to pay directly into our bank account?

HairCity also accepts direct bank transfer payments.

When you select Bank Transfer during checkout, the applicable HairCity bank account details will be provided to you.

Our bank details will also be included in the order confirmation information sent to you after placing your order, where applicable.

This allows you to make payment directly from your bank using the provided account details.

How to Pay by Bank Transfer

If you choose Direct Bank Transfer:

1. Place Your Order
Complete checkout and select the Bank Transfer payment option.

2. Get Our Bank Details
HairCity's bank account details will be displayed during checkout and provided with your order confirmation information.

3. Make Your Payment
Transfer the full amount due using your banking service.

4. Use Your Order Number as Your Reference
Where possible, use your HairCity order number as the payment reference so that we can identify your payment quickly.

5. Wait for Payment Confirmation
Your order will be processed once the required payment has been received and verified.

Important Information About Bank Transfers

Please make sure you transfer payment using the correct HairCity banking details displayed for your order.

When making payment:

  • Pay the correct amount.
  • Use your HairCity order number as the payment reference where possible.
  • Double-check the bank details before confirming the transfer.
  • Keep your payment confirmation or proof of payment.
  • Allow sufficient time for the funds to reflect.

Bank transfers may not be confirmed immediately.

The time required for payment to reflect can depend on your bank, the type of transfer and the time the payment was made.

Sending Proof of Payment

Where requested, you may send your bank transfer proof of payment to HairCity through our designated support channel.

Please include your:

  • Name
  • Order number
  • Amount paid

Proof of payment can help us identify your transaction, but an order may still remain subject to verification that the funds have been successfully received.

When Is My Order Confirmed?

Placing an order and successfully paying for an order are not necessarily the same thing.

Where advance payment is required, your order will generally proceed to processing once the applicable payment has been successfully confirmed.

For bank transfers, this may mean waiting until the funds can be verified.

For Paynow transactions, payment status is normally communicated electronically following the payment process.

Payments for Retail Wigs

When purchasing a retail wig, the amount payable will be shown during checkout.

This may include:

  • Product price
  • Delivery charges
  • Selected additional services
  • Other applicable charges

Review your order total carefully before completing payment.

Payments for Rental Wigs

Rental transactions may contain more than one component.

Depending on your booking, the amount payable may include:

Rental Fee
The charge for using the wig for the agreed rental period.

Refundable Security Deposit
An amount held as security while the rental wig is in your care and normally refundable subject to HairCity's applicable rental conditions.

Delivery Charges
Where delivery is required.

Additional Services
Such as eligible installation or styling services where selected.

Your applicable charges will be displayed or communicated as part of the rental booking process.

Security Deposit Payments

Where a security deposit is required for a rental wig, it must be paid in accordance with the booking requirements before the rental is released.

The security deposit is separate from the rental fee.

Following the timely return and assessment of the rental wig, the applicable refundable deposit will be processed in accordance with HairCity's Deposit Policy and Wig Rental Terms & Conditions.

Payment for HairCity Services

HairCity service bookings—such as Wig Installation, Wig Styling, Wig Washing or Wig Revamp—may also require advance payment, a booking payment or payment before completion depending on the service.

The applicable payment requirements will be communicated when your service is booked.

Payment Currency

Prices and payment options will be presented according to the currencies and payment methods supported by HairCity and the relevant payment provider.

For international card transactions, your bank or card issuer may convert the transaction into your account currency using its applicable exchange rate.

Any conversion fees or foreign transaction charges imposed by your financial institution are your responsibility.

What If My Online Payment Fails?

Occasionally, an online payment may be unsuccessful.

If this happens:

  • Check that your payment details are correct.
  • Make sure sufficient funds are available.
  • Complete any security or authorization request from your bank or mobile money provider.
  • Avoid repeatedly submitting the same payment if you're unsure whether the first attempt succeeded.
  • Check your HairCity order status or payment confirmation.
  • Contact HairCity Support if you need assistance.

Your bank, card issuer, mobile money provider or payment processor may also be able to explain why a transaction was declined.

What If Money Is Deducted but My Order Shows Unpaid?

Don't panic.

Occasionally, payment confirmation can take time to reach the Website even though a transaction appears to have been initiated.

Please avoid immediately making a second payment.

Contact HairCity Support and provide:

  • Your order number
  • Payment method
  • Amount
  • Approximate payment time
  • Relevant transaction or payment reference

We can then investigate the payment status.

Is It Safe to Pay Online?

HairCity uses established payment services to process supported online transactions.

When you pay through Paynow, sensitive payment information is handled through the applicable payment infrastructure rather than requiring HairCity to directly store your complete card details.

You should always protect your banking passwords, PINs, one-time passwords and other security credentials.

HairCity will never ask you to send us your card PIN, banking password or mobile money PIN.

Protect Yourself from Payment Fraud

Only use payment instructions provided through official HairCity channels.

Before making a direct bank transfer, verify that the account details match those provided during HairCity checkout or in your official order confirmation.

Never make payment to a different account simply because someone contacts you claiming that HairCity's banking details have changed.

If you receive suspicious payment instructions, contact HairCity through our official support channel before transferring any money.

Can Someone Else Pay for My Order?

In some circumstances, payment may be made by another person on your behalf.

However, HairCity may request additional information or verification where the payer's details differ from the customer's order details, particularly where required for fraud prevention or payment verification.

The order remains associated with the customer and order details submitted during checkout.

Payment Confirmation

Once payment has been successfully confirmed, HairCity can proceed with the applicable order, rental booking or service.

Please retain your:

  • Order confirmation
  • Payment confirmation
  • Transaction reference
  • Proof of payment where applicable

until your transaction has been completed.
