Getting Started

How does HairCity wig rental work?

Choose an available rental wig, select the applicable rental dates or rental period, complete your booking, pay the required rental fee and security deposit, receive or collect your wig, enjoy it during the agreed rental period and return it by the specified date.

After the wig is returned, HairCity will assess its condition. Where everything is satisfactory and there are no outstanding charges, the applicable refundable security deposit will be processed in accordance with our rental terms.Why should I rent a wig instead of buying one?

Renting can be an excellent option when you want a premium human hair look for a particular occasion or short period without paying the full purchase price of the wig.

Buying may make more sense for frequent or long-term wear, while renting offers flexibility when you want to change your look for an event or wear a premium style occasionally.Who can rent a wig from HairCity?

HairCity rental services are available to eligible customers who meet the applicable booking, payment, identification and rental requirements.

The person responsible for the booking remains responsible for the rental wig and all related obligations throughout the rental period.What occasions are rental wigs suitable for?

Rental wigs may be suitable for weddings, graduations, birthdays, photoshoots, holidays, date nights, corporate events, celebrations, parties and many other occasions.Can I rent a wig just because I want a different look?

Yes. You do not need a formal event to rent a wig. Rental can also be a convenient way to enjoy a different style for a weekend, trip, celebration or temporary change of look.

How do I choose the right rental wig?

You can choose based on factors such as style, length, texture, colour, density, lace construction, occasion, rental price and availability.

Yes. You may send reference images through WhatsApp to help us understand the hairstyle or overall look you are trying to achieve.

Reference images are used for inspiration and do not guarantee an identical result.Can I rent by occasion?

Yes. HairCity may organize or recommend rental wigs for occasions such as weddings, graduations, birthdays, photoshoots and other events.Can I rent by length, texture or style?

Yes. Depending on the available collection, you may be able to browse or filter rental wigs by length, texture, style, lace construction and other characteristics.Are all HairCity wigs available to rent?

No. HairCity maintains separate retail and rental collections. Some styles may be available for both purchase and rental, while others may only be available in one collection.Can I rent a wig that is currently being used by another customer?

You may be able to reserve it for a later available period once the current rental, return inspection and preparation process have been completed.Are HairCity rental wigs 100% human hair?

Where a rental product is described as human hair, the relevant product page will provide the applicable specifications. HairCity’s premium rental collection focuses on high-quality human hair wigs.Are rental wigs new?

Rental wigs are reusable products and may have been worn by previous customers. They are professionally cleaned, sanitized, inspected and prepared between bookings according to HairCity’s rental-care procedures.

Availability & Booking

How do I know if a wig is available for my dates?

Rental availability depends on the dates selected. A wig may be available for one period but already reserved for another.

Check the booking options on the relevant rental product page or contact HairCity for assistance.How far in advance can I book a rental wig?

You may book in advance where future dates are available. For important events, we strongly recommend booking as early as possible.How early should I book for a wedding or graduation?

As early as reasonably possible. Popular styles and important event dates can become fully booked, especially during busy seasons.Is my wig reserved as soon as I add it to my cart?

Not necessarily. A rental is generally only considered confirmed once the required booking steps and applicable payments have been successfully completed.How do I know my rental booking is confirmed?

You should receive the applicable order or booking confirmation once the necessary booking requirements have been completed.Can HairCity cancel or decline a rental booking?

In certain circumstances, HairCity may be unable to fulfil or may need to decline a rental booking, for example where payment fails, required information is incomplete, the wig becomes unexpectedly unavailable or legitimate security concerns arise.

Any applicable resolution will be handled in accordance with HairCity’s rental terms and consumer obligations.

Rental Periods

How long can I rent a wig?

Available rental periods depend on the product and booking options shown at the time of reservation.When does my rental period begin?

Your rental period begins according to the dates or rental duration specified in your confirmed booking. The exact timing should be checked carefully before completing your rental.When must I return the wig?

Your wig must be returned by the agreed return date stated in your booking or rental instructions.Can I extend my rental?

Possibly. Extensions may be approved where the wig has not already been reserved by another customer.

You must request an extension before your original return date. Additional rental charges may apply.Can I keep the wig for extra days without asking?

No. Keeping a rental wig beyond the agreed rental period without approval may result in late charges and may affect another customer’s booking.What happens if I return the wig early?

Returning a wig early does not necessarily result in a partial refund of the rental fee because the wig was reserved for your full booking period.

Any exception would be subject to the applicable rental terms.

Rental Fees & Pricing

What does the rental fee cover?

The rental fee is the amount paid for the right to use the selected wig during the agreed rental period.Is the rental fee refundable?

Rental fee refunds depend on the circumstances, timing of cancellation, whether the rental period has started, work already performed and applicable consumer rights.

Rental rates may vary according to factors such as wig value, hair length, construction, style, replacement cost, demand and other commercial considerations.Does HairCity offer rental deals or promotions?

HairCity may offer rental promotions, discounts or special offers from time to time. The terms of each promotion will specify which wigs, dates or services are included.Does a rental promotion reduce the security deposit?

Not necessarily. Security deposits are separate from rental fees and may remain unchanged unless a promotion specifically states otherwise.

Security Deposits

Why does HairCity require a security deposit?

A refundable security deposit helps protect HairCity against significant damage, loss, unauthorized alterations, missing items and other applicable rental charges.Is the security deposit part of the rental price?

No. The rental fee pays for use of the wig. The security deposit is held separately as security and may be refundable after the wig is returned and assessed.How much is the rental security deposit?

The deposit may vary by wig. The applicable amount will be displayed or communicated before your booking is confirmed.When do I pay the security deposit?

Where required, the security deposit must be paid according to the payment requirements shown during the booking process.Is my security deposit refundable?

Yes, subject to the rental terms. The deposit is normally refundable where the wig and all applicable items are returned on time, in acceptable condition and with no outstanding charges.When will my deposit be refunded?

The refund can be processed after HairCity has received and inspected the returned wig and confirmed that no applicable deductions are required.

The time for funds to reflect may depend on your payment method or financial provider.What can be deducted from my deposit?

Deductions may apply for matters such as significant damage, unauthorized alterations, missing items, late charges, excessive contamination, loss or failure to return the rental.What if the damage costs more than my deposit?

If the applicable charges exceed the deposit, the customer may remain responsible for the outstanding balance where provided for under the rental agreement.

Payments

How can I pay for my rental?

HairCity accepts available payment methods presented during checkout, which may include supported card payments, local mobile money through Paynow and direct bank transfer.Can I pay by card?

Yes. Supported local and international cards may be processed through HairCity’s available Paynow payment facility.Can I pay using mobile money?

Yes. Supported local mobile money options may be available through Paynow during checkout.Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes. HairCity bank account details will be displayed during checkout where bank transfer is selected and may also be included with your order confirmation information.Is my rental confirmed before payment?

Normally, no. A rental is only considered fully confirmed once the applicable booking and payment requirements have been satisfied.

Delivery & Collection

Does HairCity deliver rental wigs across Zimbabwe?

HairCity offers delivery options to customers across Zimbabwe, subject to the delivery arrangements available for your location and booking.Can I collect my rental wig?

Collection may be available for selected bookings or locations. Where available, HairCity will provide the relevant collection instructions.When will my rental wig be delivered?

Delivery timing depends on your booking, selected dates, preparation requirements, destination and courier arrangements.

For important events, book early and allow sufficient time for delivery.What if my rental wig arrives late?

Contact HairCity immediately if a delivery delay threatens your rental period or event date. We will review the available options based on the circumstances.What should I do when my rental arrives?

Inspect it promptly and make sure the correct wig and applicable supplied items are present. If you notice anything unusual, contact HairCity before making changes or wearing the wig extensively.What if I miss my rental delivery?

A missed delivery may require redelivery or collection arrangements and may attract additional delivery charges where applicable.

A missed delivery does not automatically extend the rental period.

Hygiene & Preparation

Are rental wigs cleaned between customers?

Yes. HairCity rental wigs are professionally cleaned, sanitized, inspected and prepared between bookings according to our rental-care procedures.Are rental wigs hygienic?

Hygiene is a fundamental part of HairCity’s rental process. Rental wigs are prepared between customers before being made available for another booking.Do I need to wash the wig before wearing it?

No. Rental wigs are prepared by HairCity before issue. You should not need to wash the wig before normal use.Do I need to wash the wig before returning it?

Generally, no. HairCity handles professional cleaning and preparation after return unless you are specifically instructed otherwise.

Installation

Can HairCity install my rental wig?

Professional installation may be available for selected rental wigs, depending on the wig construction and installation method required.Can I install the rental wig myself?

Yes, where appropriate for the wig. However, you must follow HairCity’s rental-care requirements and avoid methods likely to damage the lace, cap or hair.Can I use wig glue on a rental wig?

Only where the wig and installation method permit it. Excessive adhesive or incorrect removal can damage delicate lace.

If you are unsure, contact HairCity before applying adhesive.Can I wear a rental wig glueless?

Yes, where the wig is designed for glueless wear or the construction safely allows it.Can HairCity remove my installed rental wig?

Removal services may be available depending on current service offerings. Correct removal is especially important where adhesive has been used.

Styling

Can I style a rental wig?

Reasonable temporary styling may be permitted, but permanent alterations are not.

Yes. Professional Wig Styling may be available for selected rental wigs. This is particularly useful for weddings, graduations and other special occasions.Can I straighten or curl a rental wig?

No. Do not cut the length, fringe, layers or other parts of a HairCity rental wig unless you have specific written authorization from HairCity.Can I cut the lace?

No. Rental lace must not be cut or permanently modified without specific authorization.Can I colour or bleach the rental wig?

No. Rental wigs must not be coloured, bleached or chemically altered unless specifically authorized by HairCity.Can I use mousse, hairspray, serum or oil?

Rental Wig Care

How should I care for my rental wig?

Handle it gently, minimize unnecessary heat and product build-up, protect the lace, detangle carefully, store it properly when removed and follow HairCity’s Rental Care Guide.Can I wash my rental wig during the rental period?

Please do not wash the wig unless HairCity specifically advises you to do so. Improper washing can affect the lace, hair, style and construction.Can I sleep in my rental wig?

Where practical, removing the wig before sleeping can help reduce friction, tangling and lace stress.

If the wig has been installed for extended wear, follow the specific care instructions provided.Can I swim in my rental wig?

Swimming in a rental wig is generally not recommended because chlorine, salt water and prolonged saturation can affect the hair and lace.Can I shower in my rental wig?

Avoid unnecessary saturation unless your installation specifically requires a particular care method.How should I store my rental wig?

Keep it in a clean, dry and secure place. Avoid crushing the lace or allowing the wig to become tangled with clothing, jewellery, zips or other objects.What if my rental wig becomes tangled?

What counts as normal wear?

Rental wigs are meant to be worn, so minor changes associated with reasonable normal use should not automatically be treated as damage.

HairCity aims to distinguish ordinary wear from significant damage, misuse or unauthorized alteration.What may be considered rental damage?

Examples may include torn lace, unauthorized cutting, heat damage, bleaching, colouring, severe avoidable matting, damaged cap construction, permanent staining or other damage beyond reasonable wear.What should I do if I accidentally damage the wig?

Contact HairCity as soon as possible and explain what happened. Where useful, send clear photographs.

Do not attempt major repairs yourself.Should I repair damage before returning the wig?

No. Unauthorized repairs can make the damage worse or alter the wig permanently. Return the wig as instructed and let HairCity assess it.What if I spill something on the wig?

Avoid aggressive rubbing or harsh cleaning chemicals. Contact HairCity and tell us what was spilled so we can advise you on the appropriate next step.What happens if the wig is damaged beyond repair?

You may be responsible for applicable replacement costs or other charges under the rental agreement. The security deposit may be applied toward amounts due.

Loss & Theft

What happens if I lose the rental wig?

Contact HairCity immediately. A lost or unreturned rental may result in liability for the applicable replacement value and other charges under the rental agreement.What if the rental wig is stolen?

Contact HairCity immediately and provide the relevant information. Depending on the circumstances, additional documentation may be requested.

Your responsibilities will be determined under the applicable rental agreement.What if an accessory supplied with the wig is lost?

Missing rental items may result in applicable replacement charges or deposit deductions.

Returning Your Rental

How do I return my wig?

Follow the return instructions provided with your booking. The wig and all applicable rental items should be securely packaged and returned using the designated method.What must I return with the wig?

Return any accessories, packaging or other items identified as part of the rental package and required to be returned.Do I have to return the wig looking exactly as it did when I received it?

No. The wig has been worn, and HairCity understands that normal use changes the styling.

What matters is that the wig has been treated responsibly and has not suffered significant damage or unauthorized alterations.What happens after HairCity receives my return?

HairCity will inspect the wig and applicable accessories, verify the return date, review any damage or outstanding charges and then process the applicable deposit refund where appropriate.How will I know my return has been accepted?

HairCity may provide the relevant return or deposit status communication after the inspection process has been completed.

Late Returns

What happens if I return my wig late?

Late returns may attract additional charges because another customer may have booked the same wig after your rental period.What should I do if I know I will be late?

Contact HairCity immediately. If an extension is possible, we will advise you of the applicable options and additional charges.Does paying a late fee automatically extend my rental?

No. An extension must be approved by HairCity. A wig may already be committed to another customer.

Cancellations & Refunds

Can I cancel my rental booking?

Yes, but the refund or cancellation terms depend on when you cancel, whether preparation has started, whether services have already been performed, whether the rental period has begun and any applicable consumer rights.Will I receive a full refund if I cancel?

Not necessarily. The applicable refund depends on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation.

Can I rent a wig for my wedding?

Travelling with a Rental Wig

Can I travel with a HairCity rental wig?

Yes, provided you continue to care for it responsibly and return it by the agreed date.How should I pack a rental wig for travel?

Pack it in a way that protects the lace and prevents tangling or crushing. Keep it separate from objects that could snag, stain or damage the hair.Can I take a rental wig outside Zimbabwe?

Rent or Buy?

How do I decide whether to rent or buy?

Rent if you need the wig for a short period, special occasion or temporary change of look. Buy if you expect to wear it regularly, want permanent customization or want to keep it as part of your personal collection.Can I buy the exact wig I rented?

Some styles may also be available for retail purchase, but the actual rental unit may not necessarily be offered for sale.

Not automatically. Rental wigs remain HairCity property unless a separate purchase arrangement is expressly approved by HairCity.
